Sex Sells?

According to EU regulations, gender stereotype adverts could be banned. These include using women as sex objects aswell as the general stereotype of females and males in society today.

This report was written by the EU's Women's Rights Committee (surprise surprise!) and taken up by the EU Parliament on Wednesday. Although no new regulations have been made et, they will examine adverts more carefully before it goes out to the public.

Newsquest a major news group already have stopped putting these in their newspapers back in july trying to promote a more equal society.

Should such adverts be banned? My opinion would be no. Advertising 'no win no fee, accident claims' and loans should be banned. I think using the female/male body to promote items can look classy and sophisticated when done correctly but then again i suppose there will always be the problem of where to draw the line.
